Happy 4th of July!

We had the most wonderful weekend! We really enjoyed not traveling anywhere and found great things to do here around town. Friday night we had a babysitter and had dinner with some of my college girlfriends. Colette did great with her new babysitter Kelsey and we had some wonderful adult time. Saturday morning we had breakfast with Tom's parents and Uncle Pickle and then watched the Edina parade. Coley enjoyed the parade especially the clowns and the "horsies"! Saturday we went to a pool party at some friends house and today we hit the Linden Hills wading pool with Sara, Jon and Gracie and then headed to Convention Grill for lunch! We walked down to Browndale park after dinner and found all of our neighborhood best friends there which was a great surprise!! Hope you all enjoyed your holiday too :)

Daddy/Daughter Dance!

WOW!! It's been awhile since I last posted. Finally getting nice here in MN and we are loving our new neighborhood and the local park. We are also happy to announce that we are expecting a little BOY in September! Colette loves carrying around a picture of her baby brother :) Tom and Colette went to their first dance together tonight at the local community center. They had a blast!

Ah, winter in Minnesota!

So we tried to take Coley on an introductory sledding experience in our backyard. One of the BEST sledding hills in the twin cities is literally around the corner from our house, but after watching the kids nearly sledding into the street we decided it best to start in our backyard. I think my daughter is more of an indoor gal like her Mom but Lucy seemed to love it :) When in doubt grab the dog!!!

Happy New Year!

Ugh. It has been so long since I have updated. We've officially moved into the new house and are desperately trying to get it furnished. It is fun and VERY overwhelming all at once. We are slowly piecing things together. We have a wonderful Christmas and spent time with both families. It is so nice not to have a seven hour drive after the holidays. Our external hard drive wasn't hooked up so I couldn't access our iphoto, but I think it is working now so I will get some new pictures up. Hope you all had a fabulous holiday and we look forward to a great 2010!!

Hope you all had a fantastic Halloween! Colette went as Madeline. The Kings also have great news to share as of Friday we had our offer accepted on a house in St. Louis Park, the Browndale neighborhood specifically. We are thrilled. Closing December 1st assuming all goes well :)

These pictures are actually from my trip to MN in July, but I HAD to post them. They are just too cute!! I actually just got back from an overnight trip to MN today. We are narrowing in on a house there and I had fun looking today. I spent the night with Sara, Jon and Gracie and they as always, were fabulous hosts. I can't wait for these two to spend more time together!!! Oh, and Coley stole Gracie's paci, which she hasn't had since she was about four months old and had it the whole time we were there! Luckily she didn't seem to mind when I finally took it away :)

Murphy Family Reunion

I organized a family reunion for my Mom's side of the family this past July at Cragun's resort in Brainerd, MN. We were all there except for my cousin JoAan's husband Jason. We grilled, sat around camp fires telling stories, sang karaoke (shout out to Jason the DJ :) and had a great family dinner on Saturday night. It has been more than 15 years since our last family reunion and I hope we will continue to do this every three years or so.

So much to update, so little time!!

It has been awhile since I last updated. We have had TWO trips to MN since then. The first was a fabulous 12 day stay which included the Murphy Family Reunion and the annual Miller Cabin!!! I will upload some Miller cabin photos (and get to the reunion later :). Coley got to play with three other friends almost the exact same age and they all had a great time. Since returning to Chicago we have accepted an offer on our condo and assuming all goes well (knock on wood) we will be moving back to MN late September or early October!! YAY!!! We are excited and spent the past Sunday through Tuesday frantically house hunting. I'd say we have it narrowed down to four now and our Realtor is doing some more investigating for us. Will keep you posted ;)

Grandparents come to Babysit!!!

Tom and I went on a whirlwind weekend trip to Mexico to celebrate Tom's cousin Cindy's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and we enjoyed our 36 hours there :) My parents came on Thursday to babysit and stayed until Monday morning. I think they had a good time :) We are going to MN next week for a long trip. The 11-13th we will be at a resort up north for the Murphy Family Reunion (my Mom's siblings). I will be sure to post pictures when I return.

Brookfield Zoo!!

We went to the Brookfield Zoo today with the McEnirys.  It was a great time, beautiful weather and the first time we met Baby Colin.  He is a doll!!  Clare and Colette had fun seeing all the animals and having a picnic lunch together.  Hope you are all enjoying your wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Happy Easter everyone! We had a nice day here. Got up and went to mass this morning at Old St. Pat's and then had a great breakfast buffet at Dine :) I went and got a pedicure while Coley was napping in preparation for Hilton Head!!! YAY!! We leave on Thursday. Not much else new here. We had another showing of our place yesterday and keep looking at the listings in MN. Can't wait for spring to get here for good!!
